Library named after A.F.ZALEVSKAYA
The Institute’s Library was registered at the Kyiv City Department of Cultural and Educational work on December 14, 1946. The original book collection was provided by the library of the Ukrainian Research Institute of Education (UNDIPu).
The Library performs its scientific mission due to its unique collection of more than 100 thousand cataloged books and other print materials on general and special subjects spanning the past two centuries, including scientific journals, theses, abstracts, materials of international conferences and congresses on psychology and education as well as other documents in different languages.
The reference part of the Library consists of the traditional directories and files and the theses electronic catalog. The documents in the directory were arranged using UDC.
To automate the Library’s work the IRBIS program was introduced in 2014.
The Library serves the users according to the Library Regulations of the NAPS of Ukraine.
The Library is on the educational libraries network coordinated by the Academic State Library named after V.O. Sukhomlinsky.
The Library has an 18-seat reading room.
In 1998 according to the decision of the Academic Council of G.S. Kostiuk Institute of Psychology the library was named after A.F.Zalevskaya its first head (1967 – 1998).
Currently, the library is headed by Alla V. Shinkarenko.
The Library staff includes Tatiana Movchan, chief specialist, Victoria M. Prokopets, librarian category 1, and Victoria V. Scherbatyuk, librarian category 1.

Monday-Friday - 9:00am - 6:00pm
SaturdaySunday – days off
Last Wednesday of the month: cleaning day.
